Rotary Club of Trenton Battles Bankers for a great cause
Saturday, July 21, 2018, the Rotary Club of Trenton participated in the second annual Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation: Banker's Bed Races.  |
The epicenter of care, and a vital part of treatment for every patient at Trenton Memorial Hospital is a bed. It’s also the place where many patients will spend time with their loved ones. From Emergency Care to Inpatient Unit, Palliative Care and beyond, every area of the hospital has unique bed requirements in order to provide the most appropriate level of care tailored to a patient’s individual needs. Community Partner, Leon's Trenton spearheaded the Buy-A-Bed campaign again this year. Closing out the campaign were the Banker's Bed Races. Quinte First Credit Union, Scotiabank, TD Bank, Medics from 8-Wing Trenton and the Rotary Club of Trenton battled it out, in a morning of friendly competition with Quinte First Credit Union, taking home first place overall. Unable to be shut-out: the Rotary Club of Trenton took home the spirit award, which was accepted by Past Rotary International President, Wilf Wilkinson, on behalf of the club. We are already looking forward to next year as it is rumored that the Trenton Lion's Club as well as Kiwanis Club of Trenton will be entering teams.
