Join us for a thought-provoking and engaging presentation by Bill Empey, District Coordinator for Honouring Indigenous People (HIP) in Rotary District 7070 and Co-Chair of the Indigenous Partnership Working Group at the Rotary Club of Toronto.

Bill has been a leader in advancing understanding, relationship-building, and meaningful action toward reconciliation through Rotary's partnership with Indigenous communities. Through HIP, a national initiative that brings together Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, Bill helps foster education, awareness, and collaborative action across Canada.

Welcome to the annual Rotary District 7070 Foundation Walk. Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy a great walk, fellowship with new and old friends and to raise money for the Rotary Foundation. Our Sew Girls Can Go to School initiative is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve her potential. By helping to end period poverty, we remove a barrier that prevents many girls from attending school regularly and participating fully in their education. Access to reusable menstrual products not only supports their health and dignity but also helps keep them in the classroom, where they can gain the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to build brighter futures. Together, we are investing in education, empowering young women, and creating opportunities that can transform lives for generations to come.

We invite all members to join us for this meaningful hands-on project. Whether you are an experienced sewer or simply willing to lend a hand, there is a role for everyone. Beyond the impact we make together, these events offer a wonderful opportunity to enjoy fellowship, share stories, strengthen friendships, and experience the camaraderie that makes Rotary so special. Come out, have some fun, connect with fellow Rotarians, and help us make a lasting difference—one stitch at a time.

Please join us for a special presentation featuring Shashi Bedti from the Rotary Club of Whitby, who will be sharing the story behind the Backpack Hygiene Kit Project—a wonderful humanitarian initiative making a meaningful difference in the lives of students in remote Nunavut communities.

The project provides high school students with essential hygiene products and school supplies, helping to address some of the unique challenges faced by northern communities. With basic personal-care items sometimes costing up to ten times more in the Arctic than in southern Canada, these backpacks provide much-needed support to students and their families.

Come out and learn more about this inspiring initiative, hear about the difference it is making, and discover how Rotarians are coming together to help ensure students have access to the essentials they need.

Please join us for a special presentation from our former Rotary member, Gord Bunt, as he introduces us to Camp Outlook an inspiring organization helping young people discover their strength, confidence, and potential through adventure.

Based in Kingston, Camp Outlook gives youth ages 13–17 the opportunity to experience free, extended backcountry canoe trips. For many of these young people, it’s an opportunity they may never otherwise have had.

At the heart of Camp Outlook is a powerful belief:

“No matter what a person’s circumstances may be, they are able to exceed expectations.”

Come out, reconnect with Gord, and hear how a wilderness adventure, a supportive team, and a belief in each young person’s potential can make a lasting difference.
